Amputee Abdul Alim, 44, taking part in the 2km men's open/ veteran swim category at the Tri-Factor Series held yesterday morning at East Coast Park. Erasmus Ang, 17, won the 2km open water swim race in 30min 32sec, while Amos Tan, 46, won the 2km veteran division.

About 650 swimmers participated in the meet.

The series, in its ninth year, allows participants to compete throughout the year in various disciplines such as individual swimming, cycling, running and a triathlon. The next leg is cycling on May 7 at Nicoll Highway.
