Motor racing: Goss takes over from Lowe as McLaren technical head

LONDON (REUTERS) - McLaren named Tim Goss as the Formula One team's new technical director on Monday and said his predecessor Paddy Lowe, linked to rivals Mercedes, would be leaving at the end of the year for a "fresh challenge".

Goss, who joined McLaren in 1990, was previously the team's director of engineering.

The season starts in Australia on March 17.
