MMA: One featherweight holder Gafurov to tackle Jadambaa in S'pore rematch with ex-champ

One Championship featherweight world champion Marat Gafurov will fight former title holder Narantungalag Jadambaa of Mongolia in a highly anticipated rematch in Singapore on Nov 11.

It will be the co-main event at the One: Defending Honour mixed martial arts meeting at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and is among the additional bouts announced yesterday by the organisation.

In the main event, One lightweight world champion Shinya Aoki will defend his title against Eduard Folayang of the Philippines. Gafurov, from Dagestan, Russia, is undefeated and captured the title by beating Jadambaa in an epic battle in China last year.

Among the other four bouts, 21-year-old Singaporean prospect Amir Khan will take on undefeated Samir Mrabet, 31, from Brussels, in the lightweight division, with both on a two-fight win streak.

With another two bouts to be announced, there is a chance that fan favourite Angela Lee, an American fighter of Singaporean and Korean descent, would be competing.

The 20-year-old became One Championship's first woman world champion when she beat Japan's Mei Yamaguchi for the atomweight title at the Indoor Stadium in May.
