Singapore national football coach Bernd Stange has named a largely unchanged 22-man squad for next month's friendlies against China and Hong Kong from the side that lost 0-2 to Oman in last week's Asian Cup qualifier.
Centre-back Shariff Samad (Woodlands Wellington), left-back Hafiz Abu Sujad (LionsXII), left winger Gabriel Quak (LionsXII) and striker Sahil Suhaimi (Courts Young Lions) were not called up.
In their place, left-backs Irwan Shah and Shakir Hamzah return from injury while striker Fazrul Nawaz (all LionsXII) has earned a recall.
The Lions will face China on Sept 6 in Tianjin before they are hosted by Hong Kong on Sept 10. These friendlies will give Stange a chance to gel his squad before Singapore's next Asian Cup qualifier against Syria at Jalan Besar on Oct 15.
The Singapore squad:
Goalkeepers: Izwan Mahbud (LionsXII), Hassan Sunny (Warriors FC), Fadhil Salim (Hougang United)
Defenders: Faritz Hameed, Baihakki Khaizan, Safuwan Baharudin, Shakir Hamzah, Irwan Shah (all LionsXII), Ismail Yunos (Home United), Afiq Yunos (Young Lions), Zulfadli Zainal Abidin (Warriors)
