ITE students to get hands-on training and practical experience in tie-up with Sports Hub

THE Singapore Sports Hub has partnered the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) in a three-year agreement that will allow ITE students to get relevant practical working experience and hands-on learning opportunities.

The partnership is the first of its kind between the Sports Hub and a post-secondary educational institution and aims to give students training and industry experience specific to sports and recreation management through internships at the Sports Hub.

The enrolment of students began in October last year but the Memorandum of Understanding was inked on Tuesday afternoon at the National Stadium.

Said Bruce Poh, director and chief executive officer of ITE: "We are delighted to partner Singapore Sports Hub, to broaden the learning opportunities for our students.

"Being able to immerse themselves in the operations of a world-class sport and entertainment venue are invaluable for broadening their learning and future career development in this industry."
