Gymnastics: China's You Hao wins parallel bars gold

GLASGOW (AFP) - You Hao gave the Chinese men their first gold of the world gymnastics championships on Sunday, winning the parallel bars title on the final day of competition.

You scored 16.216 to take the title ahead of defending champion Oleg Verniaiev of the Ukraine (16.066) with Deng Shudi of China and Oleg Stepko of Azerbaijan sharing bronze after both scored 15.966.

Cuba's Manrique Larduet, won won the all-around silver medal on Friday, finished fifth ahead of 2011 winner Danell Leyva of the United States and Japan's Yusuke Tanaka in the eight-man field.
