OAKMONT, United States (AFP) - Oakmont Country Club, hosting the US Open for a record ninth time this week, will hold the championship again in 2025, the US Golf Association said Saturday.

With the 116th edition of the tournament in full swing, the USGA announced the venues for the 2025 and 2026 championships.

In 2026, the tournament will return to Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.

Shinnecock has hosted four US Opens and is already slated to host again in 2018.
