Golf: Kim seeks third win of season in China

SHANGHAI (AFP) - Windy conditions hit golfers again at China's Blue Bay LPGA event on Saturday, as the previous day's leader Kim Sei Young shared the top of the board with Candie Kung.

South Korea's Kim is looking to pick up her third win of the season on Sunday, while Kung of Chinese Taipei hopes to earn her first win in seven years, according to a press statement from the organisers.

Going into the third round, only five players were under par for the tournament at the par-72 Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course but play finished with none, with Kim (74) and Kung (73) sitting on even-par 216.

American Stacy Lewis (73) was one shot behind the joint leaders.

World No. 1 Lydia Ko improved her performance, moving up into a tie for 20th with a round of 70, better than her 47th-spot finish a day earlier.

LPGA Tour rookie Hsu Wei-ling was the surprise on Saturday, earning the low round of the day with a 68 to move into the top 10 from 42nd.
