Golf: Hatton wins Dunhill tournament by 4 strokes in maiden European Tour success

ST ANDREWS, Scotland (AFP) - England's Tyrrell Hatton celebrated a maiden European Tour golf victory with a comfortable four-shot success in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews on Sunday.

Hatton, who turns 25 on Friday, posted a final-round 66 for a tournament record equalling 23-under par victory tally on the famed Old Course.

His success also saw him become the 15th different winner in the 16-year history of the event.

Sharing second place were England's Ross Fisher, who closed with a 67, and Richard Sterne of South Africa, who had a 66.
