Six lucky fans got up close and personal with American golfers Jessica Korda and Danielle Kang as well as local golfer Koh Sock Hwee at Sentosa's Palawan beach on Tuesday afternoon.

The fans were selected from golf equipment maker TaylorMade's Facebook contest this month, enjoyed a game of golf with their idols, including trying to hit the golf ball into three floats in the water.

The female golfers are in town for the HSBC Women's Champion, which takes place from this Thursday till Sunday at Sentosa Golf Club's Serapong Course.

World No. 25 Korda, who won the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic last month when she beat defending HSBC Women's champion Stacy Lewis by one stroke, said: "I'm getting used to the weather, I've walked the course, and I feel great. I'm here to win, I wouldn't be here otherwise."

Simon Ng, 31, who picked up golf two years ago, said: "It's unbelievable. I thought there would be a lot of security, but surprisingly we got very close to the golfers, which was great. I'm a big fan of Jessica, I think she has a fantastic swing."
