Giant-killing Haas reaches Miami semi-finals

MIAMI (AFP) - Giant-killer Tommy Haas followed up his triumph over world No. 1 Novak Djokovic with a 6-3, 6-1 quarter-final victory against France's Gilles Simon at the Miami ATP Masters on Wednesday.

Haas, at 34 the oldest player ranked in the top 50 in the world, had shocked Djokovic in straight sets in the fourth round on Tuesday.

The 15th seeded German showed no sign of a letdown against 11th-seeded Simon, and advanced to a semi-final clash with third-seeded Spaniard David Ferrer.
