Formula One ace Nico Rosberg made a special appearance yesterday at UBS' office in Raffles Quay to meet 10 readers who had won a contest jointly organised by The Straits Times and the financial services company. Staff members also got to interact with the German.

On the company's involvement with the pinnacle of motor sports, Bjorn Waspe, UBS' global head of sponsorship, said: "UBS has been a global partner of Formula One since 2010, and this year marks our seventh race in Singapore.

"F1 provides UBS with an excellent hospitality platform to host unique and exciting client engagement activities.

"As the world's most prestigious motor sports event, the race has placed Singapore on the global racing map and attracted fans from all over the world.

"UBS is also a proud partner of the Mercedes F1 team. The partnership reflects the values UBS shares with the team - commitment to high performance and success through teamwork."
