£52M FOR MORATA TOO LOW FOR REAL

Real Madrid have turned down a £52.4 million (S$93.4 million) bid from Manchester United for Alvaro Morata, according to Sky Sports.

United are seeking a striker after cooling their interest in Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann, but it is believed that Real want around £78 million for Morata.

The 24-year-old Spaniard scored 20 goals in all competitions last season for the LaLiga and Champions League winners.

The former Celta Vigo forward confessed on the Spanish radio show El Transistor that he has failed to adapt to life in England and wants to leave, stating that learning English was difficult for him.

The 30-year-old also said his daughter has been affected by the gloom of Manchester's cloudy climate.
