When the Raffles Institution (RI) A Division football team trailed Anglo-Chinese Junior College 2-1 in a quarter-final group match last Friday, striker Jonathan Chua fell inside the opposing side's penalty box.

Although the referee awarded a spot-kick, the 17-year-old RI student declined it, saying there was no foul. His team went on to lose 3-1.

RI needed a win over Temasek JC (TJC) yesterday.

It was a happy ending for his honesty as Jonathan scored in RI's 3-1 win over TJC and helped his school qualify for the semi-finals.
