Football fans in Singapore have received a timely boost with less than a month to go before next month's World Cup.

The People's Association (PA) announced today that it is partnering SingTel and Singapore Pools to screen football's showpiece event at 30 community clubs (CCs) islandwide.

All 64 matches of the World Cup , which kicks off on June 12 in Brazil, are available for screening. PA is working with the 30 CCs to decide which matches to show.

The screening schedules will be available at www.pa.gov.sg by May 26.

Said PA chief executive director Ang Hak Seng: "Football matches are best enjoyed with our friends and neighbours. We hope this will inspire new friendships within the community and a new passion for the sport."
