According to the Mail Online in Britain, Manchester United have sacked Louis van Gaal just two days after the Dutchman led the Red Devils to a FA Cup final victory over Crystal Palace.

The Dutchman will be replaced by former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

The Mail reported that Van Gaal's Dutch coaching staff - including United assistant coach Albert Stuivenberg and goalkeeper coach Frans Hoek - have also left the club with immediate effect.

Manchester United will make a statement later today.
