SINGAPORE - Tampines Rovers will face I-League champions Bengaluru FC in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup quarter-finals, in a draw that was made in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (June 9).

The Stags will travel to India for the first leg on Sep 14, before they host the return fixture on Sep 21.

They are hoping to achieve their best result at the competition, having never been past the last eight on three occasions from 2005 to 2007.

In V. Sundramoorthy's last game in charge of Tampines before he become the caretaker national coach, the Stags defeated another Indian club Mohun Bagan 2-1 on May 24 in the round of 16.

Reigning champions Johor Darul Takzim have been drawn to face Hong Kong side South China. The other two quarter-finals will be between West Asian clubs.
