Football: StarHub to broadcast Copa America Centenario and International Champions Cup

SINGAPORE - StarHub will broadcast two international football tournaments on its channels in the coming months.

Both next month's Copa America Centenario and July's International Champions Cup (ICC) will be screened on beIN Sports HD (StarHub TV Channel 213) and will also be available the telco's online streaming service StarHub Go.

The June 4-27 Copa will be hosted in the United States, the first time the tournament which was founded in 1916 and celebrates its 100th anniversary is held outside South America.

It has been expanded to 16 teams and will feature stars like Barcelona's Lionel Messi (Argentina), Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez (Chile) and Bayern Munich's Douglas Costa (Brazil).

The ICC is an annual elite preseason tournament played by 17 teams across four continents.

This year's edition includes English Premier League champions Leicester City as well as other European league winners like Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Celtic.

They will be joined by the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and AC Milan for the July 22-Aug 14 tournament.
