Football: Singapore fans can now get a taste of Samba soccer

SINGAPORE - Fans of Brazilian football in Singapore can finally get their fix thanks to a multi-year agreement between Eleven Sports Network and Mediapro to bring the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A and Campeonato Paulista Serie A1 to the Republic.

The network will showcase live and exclusive action from Brazil's primary national football competition and the top-flight professional league in the state of Sao Paulo on its Eleven and Eleven Sports channels.

Regarded as one of the toughest leagues in the world, the Brasileiro competition consists of 20 teams and includes famous clubs such as Santos, Palmeiras, Sao Paulo,reigning champions Corinthians and Flamengo. Santos, the club of the legendary Pele, and Palmeiras are the most successful, having both been crowned champions eight times.

The league has produced some of the most famous players in the world, including current FC Barcelona stars Neymar and Dani Alves, Paris Saint-Germain's Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura, and Chelsea's Willian.

Sports fans can follow both leagues via the online streaming service at www.elevensports.sg via a one-day pass (24 hours at $3.90) or weekly pass ($5.90). The service can be accessed on multiple devices such as laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Both channels are also available on Singtel TV channels 109 and 110.
