Tickets for the Barclays Asia Trophy will go on sale on Wednesday at 10am. The biennial tournament, to be played at the 55,000-seat National Stadium at the Singapore Sports Hub, features English Premier League sides Arsenal, Everton, and Stoke City. A Singapore Select XI make up the four-team field.

Each ticket is valid for both matches on each match day, July 15 and July 18. Ticket prices for July 15 range from $25 (Cat 4, child) to $145 (Cat 1). For the event's final day on July 18, it ranges from $28 to $155.

Everton will open the tournament on July 15 with a match against Stoke City, while Arsenal play a Singapore Select XI on the same day. The losers of the opening matches will play each in a 3rd/4th play-off on July 18. That is followed by the final between the two winners on match day one.

The pre-season tournament to the Barclays English Premier League (EPL) began in 2003 but the latest instalment in Singapore is set to be the most competitive yet.

Former Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, said in Singapore on Tuesday: "Arsenal, Stoke and Everton are teams that have been consistently doing well in the EPL and it would be a great test for all the teams involved.

"As a player, I always wanted to score goals and play well in pre-season so that I can hit the ground running when the season starts."

Graham Stuart, who has made 294 appearances for Everton gave a signal of the level of competitiveness when he said: "Stoke have got the better of us(Everton) this season so we owe them one."

Tickets can be bought at www.sportshubtix.sg, the box office at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and at all SingPost outlets islandwide.
