NEWCASTLE, AUSTRALIA (AFP) - First-half goals from defenders Trent Sainsbury and Jason Davidson fired Australia into their second straight Asian Cup final with a 2-0 win over United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.

Sainsbury and Davidson were both on target within the first 15 minutes before the Socceroos withstood consistent pressure from the Gulf team to reach Saturday's final against South Korea.
