LONDON - With his abrasive on-field antics, Diego Costa isn't the most popular of forwards in the Barclays Premier League.
But the Chelsea man became a darling on social media after he was widely praised for the way he dealt with a coin-throwing supporter during his club's League Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Sunday.
Rather than kick up a fuss or overreact like he usually does against opponents, Costa was seen picking up the offending two pound coin and pocketing it instead.
Top drawer stuff from the 26-year-old Spanish striker, who was instrumental in the Blues' 2-0 win. It was his shot in the 56th minute that deflected off Spurs right-back Kyle Walker and into the net, securing his side's second goal and the trophy.
Any guesses on what he spent the bonus spare change on?
