A full-house, 7,500-strong crowd were treated to an entertaining football exhibition match between former Liverpool players and a team of ex-Singapore internationals in the Castlewood Group Liverpool Masters event at Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday night.

The former Reds won the 70 minute-long exhibition match 3-1 with an own goal from Lim Tong Hai sandwiched between strikes from Emile Heskey and Jari Litmanen.

Rafi Ali pulled a goal back for the ex-Singapore internationals, which earned him an ovation from the crowd.

The game was also marked as a testimonial match for recently-retired striker Aleksandar Duric, who bows out of football after 16 years of playing in the S-League.
