Football: Dorset Boys win StanChart futsal tournament for second straight time

Defending champions Dorset Boys survived a nerve-racking penalty shootout on Saturday to retain the Standard Chartered Trophy.

They came from behind twice against runners-up Underdogs to equalise in the nail-biting final, after going down 0-1 and 1-2. They held their nerves in the shootout, and prevailed 2-0.

Team captain Suresh Satapha, 28, said: "We were really motivated by the prospect of going back to Anfield, because we really had fun there last year. It is our hunger and fighting spirit that helped us to win this tournament."

The five-a-side futsal tournament is jointly organised by Liverpool's main sponsor Standard Chartered Bank and The Straits Times. The winning team get to travel to Anfield to represent Singapore in a global futsal tournament against nine other teams.
