SINGAPORE - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Grassroots Football Day is into its final weekend, where interested participants can play at the Fifa "Live Your Goals" (LYG) Centre Festivals.
Held every quarter, the event sees girls aged six to 15 years old take part in small-sided games.
It will take place twice this weekend - on Saturday (May 20), from 3pm to 4.30pm at Queensway Secondary School, and on Sunday (May 21), from 8am to 9.30am at Bowen Secondary School.
Interested participants may e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or register 15 minutes before the start, at the event location.
The celebratory day for grassroots football kicked off last Saturday (May 13) with five-a-side matches which featured over 200 children and parents at Serangoon Stadium and Sembawang Primary School.
Other events lined up are the Football Association of Singapore grassroots coaching course and the semi-finals and final of the National Primary Schools Football Championship Junior Girls.
The semi-finals take place on Wednesday and will see Telok Kurau Primary take on Admiralty Primary, and Haig Girls' Primary face off against Coral Primary.
The final and third-place play-off are on Friday.
