Football: Borussia Monchengladbach to conduct youth camp in Singapore in June

SINGAPORE - Five-time Bundesliga champions Borussia Monchengladbach will be holding a youth football camp later this month in Singapore.

The June 17-21 camp, in partnership with the German European School Singapore (GESS), will be open to about 100 participants.

Boys and girls aged between five to 14 years old are eligible to sign up with about 70 slots filled so far.

The five-day camp will be held at GESS Junior School campus at Jalan Jurong Kechil.

Registration fees are $450 (GESS students) and $500 (non-GESS students) and include a full-kit Monchengladbach uniform and a Derbystar football.

Three Monchengladbach coaches, Felix Galli (Under-12/13s), Norman Wittekopf (Under-16s) and Bjorn Dickmanns (Under-19s), will oversee the camp.

The Monchengladbach Academy was rated the third best football academy in Germany last year. Their alumni include Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen as well as current Monchengladbach squad players Mahomoud Dahoud, Julian Korb, Patrick Hermann, and Tony Jantsachke.
