Since joining Sky Sports as a football pundit, Gary Neville has impressed many with his sharp and thorough analysis on television.

While he is usually polished and sleek when the camera is on him, the former England and Manchester United captain showed that he is still prone to the odd tongue-tied moment during an exclusive interview with The Straits Times on Thursday.

In a moment reminiscent of fellow Englishman and actor Benedict Cumberbatch's phonetic struggles with the word "penguins". Neville repeatedly stumbled over the word "statistics", before finally getting it right on his third attempt.

In the video, he also joked: "It's not Belvedere vodka, you know!"

Good save.
