The drama on the final day of the English Premier League (EPL) began even before kick-off. Manchester United's match against Bournemouth was abandoned after Old Trafford was evacuated following the discovery of a suspicious package in the stands.

United were pipped to fourth spot - and the final coveted Champions League place after cross-town rivals Manchester City drew 1-1 with Swansea, thanks to a strike from Kelechi Iheanacho (far right, with Aguero). But there was heartbreak for Tottenham, who surrendered second spot to bitter North London rivals Arsenal after being thrashed 5-1 by relegated Newcastle. The Gunners beat relegated Aston Villa 4-0.
