Cristiano Ronaldo is in the news again, but this time, not for his exploits on the pitch.
The Real Madrid star broke up with his girlfriend, Russian model and actress Irina Shayk, and, if rumours are to be believed, swiftly moved on to Lucia Villalon, a Spanish TV presenter.

Alexis Sanchez

Google "Alexis Sanchez partner" and the search engine will tell you that it's Laia Grassi, a Spanish art director, but it seems no one has passed the memo to the blue-eyed blonde. Her Instagram page shows no trace of Arsenal's Chilean frontman, and if The Daily Mail is to be believed, for good reason.
Grassi reportedly dumped Sanchez and deleted all of their photos together from Instagram after he texted Miss Chile Camila Andrade (pictured below), asking her out for a meal.
Gerard Pique

The Barcelona defender's wife, award-winning singer Shakira, is probably the most famous WAG in the world.
Actually, given that the Colombian star is one of the best-selling artists of all time, has attracted more than 4 billion views in total on her YouTube channel and was named the 58th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes in 2014, we probably have that the other way around.
The high-achieving couple share the same Feb 2 birthday, although Shakira is a whole decade older than Pique.
Iker Casillas

Real Madrid goalkeeper Casillas has been in a relationship with sports journalist Sara Carbonero since 2009, and they have a son together.
More interestingly, FHM's one-time sexiest sports reporter in the world was blamed for Spain's 1-0 loss to Switzerland at the 2010 World Cup.
Carbonero, filming behind Casillas' goal, was said to have been a distraction for the keeper. Well, ...

The four-time Ballon d'Or winner and Ronaldo's greatest rival met partner Antonella Roccuzzo when they were both children, in the Argentine city of Rosario.
Going by these shots, we're not sure who lucked out more.

Thibaut Courtois
The Chelsea custodian has a very juicy story behind his relationship with Caroline Lijnen.
The Mirror reported that Courtois "stole" Lijnen from his international teammate Kevin de Bruyne, causing a rift between the players.
Lijnen revealed later that she only left de Bruyne because he had cheated on her with her then best friend in 2002.
After meeting Courtois in Madrid, where he was playing for Atletico, she said: "Thibaut gave me in that one night, what I'd sorely missed for three years with Kevin." Ouch.
She wasn't referring to what you're (probably) thinking of though - they only talked. "With Thibaut I could have good conversations and he also cooked nicely for me. Such a thing Kevin never did. And then suddenly we clicked."
