With just two minutes left on the clock, young striker Shahfiq Ghani struck his first Malaysian Super League (MSL) goal of the 2013 season in the 1-0 win over Kelantan at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday.

Defending champions Kelantan, the only team to beat the LionsXII home and away in the MSL last year, packed their defence and repelled all attacks until Shahfiq's 88th-minute winner.

Kelantan had a goal disallowed in the 11th minute when Guinean forward Keita Mandjou volleyed into the top corner from outside the box only for his effort to be disallowed for offside by referee Lismotia Mohem.

The LionsXII were also frustrated by the referee when he ruled out Shahfiq's strike in the 66th minute for offside as well.
