Football: Personal reasons behind decision to leave PSG, says Carlo Ancelotti

PARIS (AFP) - Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti insisted on Saturday that his wish to leave the French football champions is purely a personal choice and has nothing to do with money.

Speaking on the eve of PSG's final Ligue 1 game of the season, away to Lorient, Ancelotti added that he has not spoken with the powers that be at the club, since revealing his desire to move on last weekend.

When asked what PSG were lacking that was stopping him from wanting to continue at the helm, Ancelotti said: "If I respond, I will give the reason why I want to leave the club, and I don't want to say why. It is a personal choice.

"It is not a money problem, I earn a lot and have earned a lot."

The Italian had revealed last Sunday that there is a possibility of a move to Real Madrid, and the move looks an even stronger possibility, following the confirmation that Jose Mourinho will leave the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.

However, he insists there is nothing new to report on his situation since last weekend.

"Things are as they were last week. We haven't spoken this week and we still need to speak to try and find a solution for me and the club.

"We need to take our time because it will not be easy to find a solution."
