MARSEILLE (AFP) - Marseille forward Dimitri Payet will miss Tuesday's Champions League trip to Arsenal due to a swollen knee, the French football team said on Sunday.

The 26-year-old, who scored in Friday night's 3-1 win at Ajaccio, did not take part in training on Sunday.

"Given the commitments of the coming weeks, the staff have decided not to take any risks," said the Marseille statement.

The south coast club have already been eliminated from the Champions League, having lost all four matches so far, while Arsenal lead Napoli at the top of Group F after three wins.
