The LionsXII were knocked out of the Malaysian FA Cup, after losing to Pahang 1-2 at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday night.

Two quick-fire goals from Hafiz Kamal (51st minute) and Azidan Sarudin (55th min) stunned the home crowd, and put the visitors firmly in the driver's seat.

Although Safuwan Baharudin pulled a goal back for the LionsXII in the 86th minute, there were no more comeback heroics from the hosts.

The loss was the LionsXII's first home defeat in 18 months. It was also their second loss to Pahang in two weeks, after a 0-1 defeat in Kuantan in their Malaysian Super League season opener.
