The LionsXII recorded their biggest Malaysian Super League (MSL) win this season when they beat Pahang 3-0 at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday night.
Faris Ramli fired the hosts into the lead in the 13th minute after skipper Shahril Ishak and right-back Irwan Shah combined to set up the right midfielder, who fired home from close range.
Centre-back Safuwan Baharudin extended the lead in the 65th minute when his header off Shafiq Ghani's free kick beat goalkeeper Nasril Nourdin at the near-post.
Forward Fazrul Nawaz sealed all three points in the 77th minute with a header from a corner.
Coach V. Sundramoorthy's men had never managed to win by more than one goal in their five previous MSL outings.
