Great Eastern on Monday announced an extension of its co-title sponsorship of the Great Eastern-Yeo's S-League.

The one-year deal, signed at the insurance group's Live Great Space along Pickering Street, will take the association between the two parties into a sixth season.

"This has been a fruitful partnership for both parties over the years and our association with the league has helped to bring the Great Eastern brand closer to the community," said Great Eastern Singapore chief Khoo Kah Siang.

The partnership with the Football Association on Singapore has helped Great Eastern promote its Live Great programme, which includes outreach initiative such as Let's Go Sporty and the Great Eastern Live Great Kids Football Tournament.

S-League CEO Lim Chin added: "The Great Eastern Live Great programme goes hand in hand with our community outreach programmes as we promote a healthy lifestyle through football."

The 19th season of the S-League will kick-off on Feb 19, with a league fixture between defending league champions Tampines Rovers and RHB Singapore Cup holders Home United doubling up as a Charity Shield clash.
