THE fifth edition of OCBC Cycle Singapore will feature a new category for foldable bicycles, in a bid to cater to a growing group of such enthusiasts.

This year's mass cycling event, which will take place from April 26 to 28, will feature the Foldies Community Ride, a 24km category.

More than 60 local and international professional riders will also navigate the 1.6km flood-lit route around the F1 Pit Building. The lineup of elite riders will be announced in the coming weeks.

OCBC Cycle Singapore, which won the Best Local Sports Event award at the 2012 Singapore Sports Awards, featured about 11,000 riders last year. This year's event is likely to feature over 12,000 riders.
