SINGAPORE - National cadet fencers Nicole Goh, Nicole Wee and Lee Kar Moon captured the women's team gold on Sunday (Oct 30) at the GLL Camden International Cadet Sabre Tournament in London.

The trio defeated Belgium (Jolien and Saartje Corteyn, Nan van Rijckeghem) in the final 45-35 and emerge triumphant of the 14 Under-17 participating teams.

It comes on the back of several notable achievements for the Republic. In April, Lau Ywen won Singapore's first fencing title on the world stage at the Fencing Cadet and Junior World Championships in Bourges, France.

The 16-year-old then added a gold and silver at the Hungary and France leg of the European Cadet Circuit in October.
