Dominant Thais sweep volleyball titles as men's team defeat Vietnam 3-0

SINGAPORE - Thailand cemented its reputation as the region's dominant volleyball power after winning their third successive SEA Games men's title on the final day (June 16) of the Games.

The defending champions saw off a valiant Vietnam 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-23) at the OCBC Arena Hall 2 thanks to a solid defence and clever exploitation of the spaces left by their opponents.

Indonesia and Myanmar settled for joint-bronzes.

Thailand's men's triumph adds to the women's crown - their 10th straight gold in the event - won on Monday, when the Vietnamese were also beaten 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-15).
