THE OCBC Singapore Pro Cycling Team's Goh Choon Huat scored Singapore's best-ever finish on a International Cycling Union (UCI) Tour, when he took fourth position at the Tour de Langkawi on Thursday.

The 23-year-old came four seconds away from a podium finish in the 101.1-kilometre opening stage of the region's most prestigious road race.

Team Colombia's Duber Quintero took the yellow jersey after 2hrs 21min 40sec. Matt Brammeier of Synergy Baku Cycling Project claimed second position with 2:21.51. and Jonathan Clarke of UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling took the last spot on the podium in the same time.

That made Goh the top Asian rider in the 126-rider field. The Singaporean's team now lie in fourth position in the general team classification of the 10-stage contest.
