JOHANNESBURG (AFP) - South Africa came within eight runs of completing a world record chase, as the first cricket Test against India at the Wanderers Stadium ended in a draw on Sunday.
The Proteas finished on 450-7 chasing a world record 458 to win on the final day, after Faf du Plessis and A.B. de Villiers both scored second-innings centuries.
Entering the final over, the home side needed 16 runs for victory while the visitors required three wickets.
