And on Monday, Cristiano Ronaldo's image rights has been acquired by Mint Media, a Hong Kong-based company owned by Singapore billionaire Peter Lim.
The Real Madrid superstar has a slew of commercial endorsements worth US$27 million. Here is the list of sponsors which use his image:
Hair: Clear shampoo.
He chose this brand because he loves the shampoo. He said: "If you (want to) see the results, you can look for my hair and you will see why I have a beautiful hair."
Mouth: Facial Fitness Pao.
An exercise device created by Japan, users insert the device into their mouth and bob their heads to tone and tighten muscles in the face.
Fashion: Emporio Armani Underwear & Jeans.
The former Manchester United player followed David Beckam's route in modelling where he was featured in a video sporting the famous Italian brand's clothing titled "Housekeeping featuring Cristiano Ronaldo".
Underwear: CR7 Underwear & Fashion Line.
Ronaldo co-designed men's underwear in a collaboration with Richard Chai, a famous fashion designer and Danish Company JBS, a textile company.
Shoes: Nike.
In 2014, Nike also launched the Mecurial Superfly CR7 World Cup Edition before the World Cup Finals in Brazil. It is reported that he earns £14.1 million a year from Nike.
Game: Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer.
Ronaldo is the cover star for the Japanese football computer game in the 2012 and 2013 versions.
Phone: Samsung.
The phone company released an advertisement before last year's World Cup Finals which featured numerous famous players such as Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and Iker Casillas.

The watch company endorsed him alongside Formula One driver Jenson Button in a video titled: "Ronaldo and Button Don't Crack Under Pressure!"

The Japanese car makers featured him in a video titled: "Cristiano Ronaldo. Toyota Champ TVC".
Oil: Castrol Edge Motor Oil.
The oil company released a television film called "Ronaldo: Tested to the Limit" which was a documentary on what makes Ronaldo one of the best footballers of his generation.
Airlines: Emirates.
The UAE airlines produced a video featuring Ronaldo with Pele titled: "All-Time Greats".
Food: Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).
Drink: Soccerade, an energy drink company.
