Cold Storage Kids Run returns for eighth edition on May 17

The Cold Storage Kids Run is returning for its eighth edition on May 17 and will be held at The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay.

This year's instalment has gone through improvements, with the width at hotspots doubled and the route changed at other parts to prevent bottlenecks.

The number of entrants is capped at 5,000 - a thousand less than last year.

The 3Gen Family Fun Run is making a comeback, with the non-competitive category seeing children aged four to 12 team up with one parent and one grandparent to walk or run 800m.

A total of 13 categories are available for participants from six months old to 12.

They include competitive and non-competitive races from 800m to 1.6km.

Said Victor Chia, Cold Storage's chief executive officer: "The Cold Storage Kids Run has always been a great way for kids and family to bond.

"We want to encourage family ties through leading a healthy lifestyle together and that includes eating well and exercising."

Registration at www.kidsrun.com.sg begins from now until April 9.

Early bird discounts are available until the end of this month.
