China’s ex-table tennis fitness coach holds clinic for Singapore players

Shi Hong Fan, the former strength and conditioning coach for China's table tennis squad, is in Singapore to share his knowledge with some of the Republic's top athletes and officials.

The 71-year-old, who was in charge of China's top players such as four-time Olympic gold medallist Zhang Yining from 1997 to 2010, conducted a fitness clinic for Singapore's table tennis players and coaches this morning at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall.

In town for two weeks, he is hosted by the Singapore Sports Institute (SSI) as part of their ongoing efforts to invite more sports experts here to conduct training workshops for local players and coaches.
