SINGAPORE - Despite missing out on both the men's and women's titles, Singapore's bowlers did well enough at the QubicaAMF World Cup to take the top country award.
Muhammad Jaris Goh finished third in the men's event, after losing his semi-final 0-2 to Siu Hong Wu of Hong Kong. Goh posted 173 and 194 pinfalls, falling short of his opponent's 198 and 223 pinfalls.
In the women's event, Geraldine Ng finished fourth and just missed out on the stepladder finals.
But their combined performances were good enough to take the top country title at the Sam's Town Bowling Center in Las Vegas.
