Bowling: No joy for S'pore bowlers in trios event at World Championships

The Singapore women's bowling team had an unsuccessful day at the World Championships in Las Vegas on Monday.

The first squad of Shayna Ng, Jazreel Tan and Bernice Lim came in eighth of 68 teams in the trios with 3,717 pinfalls.

The second squad of Cherie Tan, New Hui Fen and Daphne Tan finished ninth (3,709). South Korea beat Canada in the final after topping qualifying (3,883).

On Sunday, the men's second squad of Ng Tiac Pin, Ng Chiew Pang and Keith Saw ended 35th (3,632) of 72 teams, while the first squad of Jaris Goh, Joel Tan and Javier Tan were 68th (3,263).
