The Singapore Slingers remain second in the Asean Basketball League with a comfortable 93-74 away win over fifth-placed Mono Vampire Basketball Club at Mono Stadium in Bangkok on Friday.
Xavier Alexander led the overall scoring charts with 28 points, with Wong Wei Long and Justin Howard also contributing 14 points apiece. Anthony McClain was the Thai team's top scorer with 19 points.
The win brings the Slingers' win-loss record to 15-4, identical to league-leading Westports Malaysia Dragons who boast a better head-to-head record. The Republic's only professional team had earlier lost the top spot after losing to their rivals last Sunday.
The Slingers will round off their campaign this Sunday against fourth-placed Saigon Heat at the OCBC Arena, while the in-form Dragons host bottom team Pilipinas MX3 Kings on the same day.
