NBA: Third-quarter run sparks Hawks to win over Pacers, Cavaliers rout Clippers in LA

ATLANTA (REUTERS) - The Atlanta Hawks earned a split of the four-game season series against Indiana by continuing their home dominance of the Pacers in the National Basketball Association on Sunday night.

The Hawks closed the third quarter on a 30-5 run to make the game a rout and rolled to a 104-75 victory for their 16th win in the past 17 regular-season home games against Indiana.

In other NBA games:

Jazz 108 Kings 99: Derrick Favors had 28 points and 14 rebounds, Gordon Hayward added 27 points and the Utah Jazz defeated the Sacramento Kings 108-99 on Sunday.

Utah (31-35) won their second straight game and moved to within two games of Dallas and Houston, who are tied for seventh in the Western Conference playoff race.

Cavaliers 114 Clippers 90: LeBron James scored 27 points and the Cleveland Cavaliers crushed the Los Angeles Clippers 114-90 Sunday at Staples Center.

J.R. Smith, who hit five three-pointers, and Kyrie Irvine added 17 points apiece for the Cavaliers (47-18), who won their third straight and sixth win in seven games. They also swept the season series. The Cavaliers posted a 115-102 victory on Jan 21 at Cleveland.
