LOS ANGELES (AFP) - NBA star Tony Parker married his French girlfriend Axelle Francine in Texas over the weekend, People magazine has reported.

The 32-year-old San Antonio Spurs point guard and Francine, a journalist, were wed on Saturday, after a party two nights before with close friends and family in the Texas city, the celebrity magazine said.

Parker and Francine welcomed their first child, Josh, in April.

The French NBA star, a 13-year veteran whose Spurs won the National Basketball Association championship this year, signed a contract extension last week reportedly worth about US$45 million (S$56 million) over three years.

Parker was previously married to US actress Eva Longoria.

The couple's divorce was finalised in 2011. He met Francine that same year.

Parker, who led the Spurs in scoring for the fourth consecutive season, was San Antonio's lone player in last season's NBA All-Star Game. He has won four titles with the team.
