Badminton, hockey, table tennis and water polo back on the cards for SEA Games

BADMINTON, hockey, table tennis and water polo have been reinstated in the list of sports to be contested at December's SEA Games in Naypyidaw, Myanmar.

The host nation had earlier raised the ire of neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia when it dropped a few Olympic sports last week.

But the decision was reversed today at the end of the two-day SEA Games Federation Council Assembly, which was held in Myanmar and attended by officials from the 11 competing countries.

Some sports which did not make the cut were gymnastics and tennis.
