SINGAPORE - About 800 trail runners between the ages of six and 71 participated in the Salomon X-Trail Run 2016 on late on Saturday afternoon.

One highlight for runners in the 10km route in Punggol was passing through Coney Island.

Anton Gustafsson won the men's 10km Open race in 34min 37sec, ahead of Gurung Nimesh (35:16), to win $500 worth of Salomon product vouchers and prizes.

In the women's 10km Open category, Jasmine Goh crossed the finish line first in 44: 41, followed by Brenda Fong (48:27).
